A Legacy of Innovation. Built for Modern Freeride

For more than 70 years, Atomic has been one of skiing’s most influential brands, building skis for everyone from World Cup racers to big-mountain freeriders. Based in the Austrian Alps, Atomic combines a long history of precision ski construction with continual innovation across racing, all-mountain, touring and freeride equipment. The result is a brand known for performance at the highest levels of the sport while still producing skis that make a day on the mountain more fun for the rest of us.

Atomic’s Bent collection brings that experience to the freeride side of the mountain. Developed with legendary freeskier and artist Chris Benchetler and Atomic’s freeski team, the Bent series emphasizes creativity, maneuverability and the freedom to explore terrain beyond the groomed run. For Aspen skiers, that makes the Bent lineup particularly well suited to the variety of terrain and conditions found across our four mountains.

For 2026/27, Hamilton Sports offers the Atomic Bent 100 and Bent 110, giving advanced skiers two different options for exploring Aspen’s freeride terrain. The Bent 100 is the versatile choice for skiing everything from groomers and bumps to trees and soft snow, while the wider Bent 110 comes alive when the snow gets deep and the terrain gets playful. Younger skiers can get in on the fun too with the Bent Mini, bringing the Bent freeride spirit to junior-sized skis.

Whether you’re looking for one ski to explore Snowmass from bell to bell or something wider for a powder day at Aspen Highlands, Hamilton Sports can help you choose an Atomic ski rental that matches the conditions and the way you like to ski.

Atomic Skis Available for Rent in Aspen

Atomic Bent 100

Available Sizes: 165cm, 172cm, 179cm, 186cm

Atomic Bent 100 Ski Rentals AspenIf you want one Atomic ski demo that can handle just about anything during an Aspen vacation, start with the Bent 100. Atomic calls it a “one-ski quiver,” and at 100mm underfoot it occupies a particularly useful middle ground: wide enough for impressive flotation in soft snow, but still quick and versatile enough for everyday resort skiing. HRZN 3D in the tip and tail improves flotation and handling in variable snow, while the lightweight poplar core keeps the ski energetic and maneuverable.

Snowmass may be the ideal Aspen-area mountain for the Bent 100. With more than 3,000 acres and everything from groomers and bumps to trees, steeps and powder stashes, it’s the kind of mountain where a versatile ski lets you follow the conditions rather than commit to one type of terrain. The Bent 100’s playful personality also makes natural features, side hits and trees part of the fun rather than simply terrain to ski through.

Independent 2027 testing backs up that versatility. SkiEssentials gives the Bent 100 particularly high marks for playfulness, forgiveness and versatility, while noting that its real strength emerges once you leave the groomed trail and get into softer or more technical terrain.

Best for: Intermediate through expert skiers; Snowmass; all-mountain skiing; trees; bumps; soft snow; playful freeride skiing.

Atomic Bent 110

Available Sizes: 172cm, 180cm, 188cm

Atomic Bent 110 Ski Demos AspenWhen Aspen gets a legitimate powder day, the Atomic Bent 110 is the ski to grab. Designed by Chris Benchetler and Atomic’s freeski team, this 110mm freeride ski is built for powder turns, natural features and creative skiing. Its HRZN Tech tip and tail add surface area and flotation without unnecessary weight, while pronounced rocker and a light wood core make a ski this wide remarkably easy to pivot and maneuver.

Take this Atomic ski demo to Aspen Highlands after a storm. The Bent 110 has the float for Highlands Bowl and deep snow, but its personality is more playful than purely hard-charging. It wants a skier who sees windlips, soft bumps, trees and natural terrain features as opportunities. On a deep day at Snowmass, particularly when you’re hunting for soft snow away from the groomers, it makes just as much sense.

That’s consistent with independent 2027 testing: the Bent 110 scored especially highly for flotation, quickness and playfulness. Testers describe it as light, forgiving and extremely maneuverable, while cautioning that a skier looking primarily for maximum high-speed stability on firm snow should choose something more directional.

Best for: Advanced and expert skiers; powder days; Aspen Highlands; Highlands Bowl; Snowmass; trees; soft snow and creative freeride skiing.

Atomic Bent Mini

Available Sizes: 133cm, 143cm, 153cm

Atomic Bent Mini Kids Ski Rental AspenThe Atomic Bent Mini brings the playful personality of the Bent family to younger skiers who are ready to move beyond basic junior rental equipment. Designed to encourage progression and exploration, the Bent Mini gives kids a ski they can take from groomed runs into bumps, trees and softer snow as their confidence grows.

For families skiing Buttermilk or Snowmass, it’s a particularly natural fit. Younger skiers can develop their skills on groomed terrain while having a ski that’s ready to follow them as they begin exploring more of the mountain. For aspiring young freeriders, it’s also an introduction to the same Bent family they’ll find under the feet of some of skiing’s most creative athletes.

Best for: Junior skiers; progressing young freeriders; Buttermilk; Snowmass; groomers; bumps and introductory off-piste terrain.
