Winter Has Arrived in Full Force for an Awesome Ski Season!

Aspen Ski SeasonAfter one of the most beautiful fall seasons Aspen has ever seen, winter is finally here. Last weeks cold front that moved down from Canada brought snow for seven days straight and produced over two feet of accumulation. To us here at Hamilton Sports and in Aspen, this weather pattern is very reminiscent to our last truly epic ski season in 2007/2008.

In November of that year, we were experiencing unseasonably warm temperatures. Hiking, biking and camping were in full swing. Die-hard skiers were getting antsy waiting for colder temps and snowflakes to fly; it seemed as though it would never happen. And then it did, and never stopped. 2008 was a record year for Aspen and Snowmass with a recorded 402 inches of snowfall. It seemed as if it snowed every night and every morning was a blue bird powder day. Many thought  “Less than 5 inches of snow overnight? Eh, maybe take the day off.” As a result of this record snowfall, powder skis flew off the wall.

So, are we headed for another record season? We hope so and Hamilton Sports has all the gear you need for those snorkel deep days ahead. Here are a few of our top powder ski picks for the upcoming 2014/2015-ski season.  Each of these skis is mounted brand new for the season and available for demo in all sizes.
